10 Displaced In Peninsula Residential Fire

Arriving crews from the North County Fire Authority found flames coming from kitchen and attic.

DLY CITY, CA —Ten people were displaced Tuesday due to a residential structure fire in Daly City.

Firefighters with the North County Fire Authority responded Tuesday at 11:39 a.m. to a structure fire at 289 Morton Drive.

Responding firefighters found smoke coming from the roof of a two-story residence.

Firefighters entered the residence and found smoke and flames coming from the kitchen and the attic directly above the kitchen.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to those areas.

Two residents were treated for minor injuries at the scene by firefighter paramedics and were ultimately transported to the hospital.

The displaced residents received housing assistance from the American Red Cross, according to the North County Fire Authority.
