7-Eleven In Daly City Catches Fire

Fire officials say the blaze burned part of the front storeroom and front exterior wall.

Firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out Wednesday afternoon at a 7-Eleven store in Daly City, according to the North County Fire Authority. At 2:53 p.m., firefighters responded to the blaze at 1010 Hillside Blvd. and found smoke coming from the front of the store's roof and ground level.

Inside the store, firefighters found smoke coming from the attic and immediately began evacuating remaining employees. Crews ventilated the roof and managed to contain the fire to the front storeroom and front exterior wall where construction work was taking place, fire officials said.

Much of the store sustained smoke damage. Firefighters were able to salvage some of the store's merchandise by moving shelving away from the area where the fire broke out.
