'Age Well Drive Smart' Seminars Coming to Daly City, Other Peninsula Cities

"This seminar is a refresher course on the rules of the road with a focus on issues faced by older drivers."

REDWOOD CITY, CA — San Mateo County Supervisor Adrienne J. Tissier announces three upcoming seminars aimed at aiding older drivers. The next seminar will be held at the Foster City Recreation Center on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

"For most people it has been years since they’ve read the DMV Handbook. This seminar is a refresher course on the rules of the road with a focus on issues faced by older drivers. The goal is to assist the older driver with updated information and knowledge to aid them in continuing to drive safely as they age," said Supervisor Tissier.

The Age Well Drive Smart seminar includes a presentation by the California Highway Patrol on safe driving tips including a self-evaluation, Q&A with California Department of Motor Vehicles Senior Driver Ombudsman and a discussion with SamTrans about transportation alternatives.
