BLUE BLANKET IMPROV: THE LAST 2013 SHOW

BLUE BLANKET IMPROV SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY

PUBLIC DEMO:  ADVANCES IN TIME TRAVEL

The Blue Blanket Improv Scientific Society is excited to unveil a ground-breaking discovery in time travel.  This initial demonstration is liable to be the talk of the town for years to come.  Come early to ensure you and your family are on hand for this historic moment!  Going out with a bang, this will be the LAST demo/comedy show of 2013 and final performance at Odd Fellows Hall!

Lead Inventor, Marc Samuels, offered a hint of their breakthrough:  “Ever since we came to our Wave Induced Temporal Superposition (WITS), we knew time travel was possible.  The key insight came from my son’s spelling book, where the stick figures he’d drawn in the margin seemed to come to life when you flipped quickly between them.  I realized with temporal superposition, we could do the same thing in real life:  flip back and forth between reality (the native operating condition) and the one we desired to superimpose: the nominal operating condition.  By switching fast enough, the native and nominal conditions merge, and we are able to bring individuals from other times and places into our current reality.  With our Native Operating Condition / Nominal Operating Condition (NOC-NOC) experiment, we will definitely answer the eternal question ‘Who’s there?’”

Our first experiment will be to re-materialize former Blue Blanket Improv actors.  If all goes well, our show will include renditions of troupe alumni indistinguishable from the fondest memories of shows past.  They will entertain you with outrageous characters, witty repartee, and incredible stories all inspired by your suggestions from the audience.

OPEN AUDITIONS:

Our second experiment will take audience members into the near future.  No longer separated by the “fourth wall” between spectator and performer, these adventuresome souls will be part of the Blue Blanket troupe.

Having shown their talents at an audition in December 2013, they will be part of the Blue Blanket company in 2014, with all benefits and responsibilities associated thereby.  Membership in the Blue Blanket Improv Scientific Society is optional.

Yes we are holding open auditions this December!
