Please bring your animal companions - or a photograph of them - to be blessed. This 23rd anniversary event takes place on the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals. BUMC Pastor Ann Duncan and SpiritCare ministers will bless the pets, and each animal that is blessed will receive an attractive certificate. Everyone who attends will be given a lovely St. Francis Blessing of the Animals prayer card and will have an opportunity to win a beautiful portrait of their beloved pet created by a talented painter. Representatives from the Companion Animal Community Center, Homeless Cat Network, Peninsula Humane Society, and SpiritCare Ministry to Seniors will be there to greet you.
