CERT Training Classes Begin In January In Pacifica

Learn basic skills to help your family prepare and respond to critical incidents or disasters as part of Community Emergency Response Team.

PACIFICA, CA — Seats still are available for upcoming Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, classes that begin Jan. 16 in Pacifica, the Pacifica Police Department said.

The training teaches participants basic skills that can be implemented in the event of a critical incident or in the aftermath of a disaster, officials said.

The classes are for seven consecutive weeks on Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the police department at 2075 Coast Hwy.

Students will demonstrate their skills during a hands-on exercise before graduation Saturday, Feb. 29.
