Chocolate Flows at IBL this Weekend

Annual school fundraiser for Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School

Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School and the IBL Parent-Teacher Organization is hosting their annual Chocolate Fest event this Saturday, March 28 from 11 am to 3 pm. This event is the primary fundraising event for the the school with all proceeds going to help fund enrichment opportunities for the students.

Chocolate Fest has something for everyone, adults and children. There are carnival games in the multi-purpose room as well as larger games outside including Joust, the Bungee Run, and an obstacle course. For parents there also a number of attractions including a cake walk, auction items, and drawings. Of course, there is an abundance of chocolate available for everyone. There are two chocolate fountains, dip-able items for purchase, and a variety of baked goods all with a chocolate theme.

In addition to all the chocolate and games, IBL will also be hosting their annual Book Fair in the school library.

IBL and the IBL PTO encourages the community to come out and support the Chocolate Fest and help fund enrichment activities for the children. Every dollar raised helps to send students on field trips, helps to increase classroom libraries, and helps to put new educational technology into the hands of children to further their learning.
