Community Support Helps Peninsula Restaurant Endure Pandemic
Sunrise Café and Grill manager Christen Hall cites local community support with helping keep her Pacifica eatery going amid the pandemic.
PACIFICA, CA — Like many small businesses locally and throughout the country, Pacifica’s Sunrise Café and Grill has had a tough time staying afloat amid the coronavirus crisis.
But manager Christen Hall cites community support as a pivotal factor keeping her restaurant thriving amid such difficult circumstances.
The Pacifica eatery at 1241 Linda Mar Blvd. reopened for indoor dining last month but have had to go back to serving takeout orders only on Wednesday amid Gov. Gavin Newsom’s statewide order.

“In the restaurant industry there are challenges even in the best of times and to still be here,” Hall said.
“In the midst of this pandemic, serving our customers, is a testament to the community of Pacifica.”

Sunrise Café and Grill serves up traditional American-style breakfast and lunch daily. The restaurant prides itself for fresh food and friendly service.
Customers appear to have taken note of Chef Armando's 30 years experience and human touch he brings to his work. His special offerings include "My mother's secret recipe."
"Breakfast was amazing & they are practicing social distancing inside," Yelp reviewer Yon P. wrote last month when in-door dining was still permitted.
"Definitely a must try but make sure you check the hours of operation. Hats off to the cook as my eggs Benedict was perfect and the hash browns had just enough of crisp!"
