A Coyote's Gaze: Photo Of The Week

PACIFICA — Coyote sightings have become more common in recent years as development encroaches upon their habitat. Getting them to pose for a photo isn’t an everyday occurrence though. Maryann Tomola captured one of those rare moments. She took this photo on a recent morning in the backyard of a home on Alicante Drive in Pacifica.

“I was happy to finally get a shot of one,” said. “It was the look in its eyes that made it special.”
