Delivery Man Charges School District With Serving Expired Food
A delivery man for the Pacifica School District has filed a lawsuit accusing the district of serving expired food to children and then retaliating against him after he blew the whistle.

Joseph McCarthy, 55, claims the Pacifica School District through a food-service contractor, has served pasta and frozen turkey that were past their expiration dates and failed to refrigerate some food items properly, according to a report in the San Mateo County Times.
After McCarthy raised these and other concerns, he was disciplined and subjected to age discrimination, according to the suit.
District Superintendent Wendy Turkloff said Monday she was aware of the lawsuit, filed Nov. 21 in San Mateo County Superior Court, but could not comment on it.
