Officers located the vehicle a short distance away and conducted a traffic stop, police said. The store employee was able to positively identify the women in the burglary, and evidence from the vehicle suggested the two were involved in a large-scale theft ring throughout the Bay Area.
Akasia Palmore, 21, of Rodeo and Zanae Jones, 21, of Antioch were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of burglary, criminal conspiracy and providing a false name to a police officer. The women were also booked on several out of county warrants for theft.
