UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Accident that Closed Highway 1 in Pacifica
Police was investigating the accident as a homicide and a DUI crash.

A Daly City resident has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter after a fatal collision on state Highway 1 in Pacifica on Saturday evening, according to police.
Ana Reepen, 41, was taken into custody on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI causing death after Pacifica police responded to the scene of a head-on collision on northbound Highway 1 north of Crespi Drive at roughly 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital for medical treatment. One of them, a 54-year-old Pacifica resident, later died.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of their next of kin, according to police.
Highway 1 remained closed Saturday night between Crespi Drive and Fassler Avenue as police investigated the crash. The Highway was reopened at around 4 a.m. Sunday.

One person was killed Saturday in a crash on northbound state Highway 1 in Pacifica.
Officers responded at 6:45 p.m. to state Highway 1 north of Crespi Drive on a report of a crash involving two vehicles, police said.
The vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, and the drivers were transported to the hospital for injuries they suffered in the crash.
One of the drivers later died from injuries suffered in the crash, police said.
State Highway 1 remained closed Saturday night between Crespi Drive and Fassler Avenue as police investigated the crash. The highway was closed until 4 a.m. Sunday
The crash is being investigated as a vehicular homicide and driving under the influence incident, police said.
