Woman Arrested for Two-Car DUI Crash in Pacifica: Police

One vehicle ended up overturned and the other vehicle ended up on its side in an alcohol-involved crash in Pacifica, police say.

PACIFICA, CA - Alcohol played a role in major traffic collision that occurred last Saturday on Coast Hwy (SR-1) at Westport Drive, Pacifica Police say.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 3. One vehicle ended up overturned and the other vehicle was on its side, police say.

The driver of the overturned vehicle was extricated by the fire personnel and was transported to a local trauma center for evaluation.

Officers determined the driver at fault for the collision was under the influence of alcohol.

Nicole Espinoza, 33, from Freemont, Calif., was arrested for driving under the influence and causing a collision that resulted in injuries.

Espinoza was also taken to an area hospital for treatment of moderate injuries sustained in the collision.
