Grass Fire Breaks Out in Pacifica

Crews were able to quickly contain the blaze.

PACIFICA, CA — Firefighters extinguished a one-acre grass fire in Pacifica this week, according to a statement from the North County Fire Authority.

Crews were dispatched to the vicinity of Fassler Avenue and Roberts Road at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday where they found a vegetation fire in progress.

The blaze was extinguished with hose lines and hand tools, but firefighters stayed at the scene for more than an hour to prevent the fire from flaring up again.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, but firefighters are asking area residents to cut grass and remove dry vegetation around homes and businesses.
