Gun, Drugs Found On Man Driving Under The Influence In SMC: Police

Police said they pulled over the driver because they suspected he was under the influence of alcohol.

DALY CITY, CA β€” A routine traffic stop in Daly City resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old man on multiple felony charges after officers found a gun and drugs, police announced Monday.

Daly City Police officers said at around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 16, they pulled over a driver near the intersection of John Daly Boulevard. and Poncetta Drive. Officers spoke to the driver, whose identity has not yet been released, and they displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Officers searched the car and said they found a gun and various controlled substances.

He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on multiple felony charges related to the incident.
