High Surf, Coastal Flood Advisories; List of Closed Beaches

Several beaches are closed due to sewer overflow/bacteria. El Nino storms continue to threaten the coastline.

A high surf advisory will remain in effect until 2 p.m., and coastal flood advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.

Several beaches are closed because of sewer overflows and other sources of high levels of bacteria:

  • Pillar Point #9 (Outer Harbor)
  • Linda Mar #5 (Linda Mar Blvd)
  • Venice Beach

Today will see rain in the morning and in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-50s and northwest winds will be around 5 mph.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, and there will be a chance of showers. Lows will be in the mid-40s and southwest winds will reach 5 to 10 mph.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 50s and southeast winds will reach 5 to 10 mph.
