Hit-And-Run Crash Suspect Nabbed In Peninsula

PACIFICA, CA -- Police in Pacifica on Thursday arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run collision. Michael Lewis Mallon, 43, of Pacifica, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a traffic collision, according to the Pacifica Police Department.
On Thursday at 5:15 pm., officers responded to the 400 block of Gateway Drive on a report of a hit-and-run collision and came across three vehicles that had been damaged in the hit-and-run.
The suspect involved in the collision had fled the scene.

Police located the suspect's vehicle in the area and contacted the driver, identified as Mallon.
Police said the vehicle had been damaged in a manner consistent with the collision, and investigators were able to identify Mallon and vehicle as being involved in the collision.

During the investigation, Mallon appeared to show symptoms of intoxication, police said.
Following a DUI investigation, Mallon was taken into custody and arrested.
