Man Racks Up Charges On Grandma's Credit Card: Cops
The 23-year-old allegedly ran from Pacifica police when they showed up, and now is sought by officers, officials said.

PACIFICA, CA – A 23-year-old man believed to have racked up thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges on his grandmother's credit card allegedly assaulted police officers and fled the scene Monday in Pacifica, according to police.
Officers developed probable cause to arrest Dustin Cottrell after responding around 5 p.m. to an address on Duran Court that he shares with the victim.
She alleged that Cottrell had been using the credit cards without her consent, and investigating officers determined that several thousand dollars had allegedly been spent.

When they attempted to arrest Cottrell on suspicion of elder abuse and identity theft, police said he punched and kicked them and ran out the door. Officers let loose a K-9 that chased him back into the house.
Cottrell allegedly slammed a sliding door shut, pinning the dog in place, and successfully fled the scene. The dog didn't suffer any significant injuries, however.
