A 26-year-old learned his fate this week after pleading no contest in the case.

PACIFICA, CA — A 26-year-old man has pleaded no contest to felony vandalism charges for spinning donuts with his SUV on playing fields at his former school in Pacifica and other places nearby, San Mateo County prosecutors said Thursday.

Angelo Bozin is a former student at Alma Heights Christian School and on six occasions in November 2016, he spun donuts on the school's playing fields in his Toyota 4Runner, according to the district attorney's office.

Bozin also committed similar vandalism acts during the same time period at San Francisco Archers, Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church and Sanchez Art Center, all also in Pacifica, prosecutors said.

In all, the vandalism cost more than $200,000 in damage and losses to the properties, including money the Alma Heights school had to pay to use other facilities while their fields were repaired, prosecutors said.

Bozin was arrested after his Toyota got stuck in the mud at the Holy Cross church.

He pleaded no contest in San Mateo County Superior Court in Redwood City on Wednesday to four counts of felony vandalism on the condition that he receive a sentence of 120 days in county jail with three years probation, prosecutors said.

Judge Stephanie Garratt ordered him to surrender to jail on July 21 to serve his sentence, which includes credit for two days already served.

His defense attorney Joshua Bentley was not immediately available to comment on the case.
