Man Stabbed In The Back In SMC, Suspect Arrested: Police
Officers arrested a 37-year-old man for attempted murder, police said.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police said they arrested a 37-year-old man for attempted murder Wednesday after he stabbed a man in the back in South San Francisco.
At around midnight on Saturday, South San Francisco Police Department officers said they responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue after receiving a call that a man had been stabbed in the back.
Police said when they arrived they found a man with a stab wound to his back. He was transported to the hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury, police said.

Police said the suspect had fled the scene before they arrived but they were able to identify him as Morgan Hallquist, 37, of Brisbane.
On Wednesday, officers said they found Hallquist and recovered further evidence of the crime but did not specify what they had found.

Police said they booked Hallquist into the San Mateo County Jail for attempted murder.
