Man Who Murdered Girlfriend In Front Of Her Children Sentenced In SMC: DA
The 30-year-old man was convicted for the slaying after shooting her multiple times outside their home, prosecutors said.
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. β A Daly City man, was sentenced Thursday to 64 years to life in state prison for the first-degree murder of his girlfriend, who he shot several times in front of her children, according to the San Mateo County District Attorneyβs Office.
Romier Taguiam Narag, 30, was found guilty last month by a jury for the fatal shooting of Frances Lucero, the mother of his two young children, ages 3 and 4, outside her home on March 6, 2023, prosecutors said.
Narag shot Lucero several times, including twice in the back, as she attempted to flee following a heated argument in their driveway, the district attorney's office said.

Daly City Police Department officers arrested Narag at the scene.
"The Defendant has orphaned his own children and the devastation will last their entire lives," said Judge Jeffrey Finigan.

In addition to the murder conviction with a firearm enhancement, Narag was also found guilty of child endangerment, prosecutors said.
