New Police Chief Named In Daly City
The opening came after the former chief announced his departure last month for a position elsewhere.

DALY CITY, CA — Patrick Hensley was appointed Monday as the newest police chief in Daly City.
City Manager Patricia Martel appointed Hensley to the post Monday morning. He has been with the Police Department since 1994 and was a captain at the time of his appointment, police said.
The opening came after former Chief Manny Martinez Jr. announced his departure last month to become an assistant chief for the Salinas Police Department.

Hensley most recently served as the department's field operations bureau commander. He has a bachelor's degree in human services administration from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont and a master's degree in security studies at the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security in Monterey, police said.
