This happening is a great opportunity to meet w NPS staff to discuss future trails alignments above Pacifica.
The meeting format is "drop in " style, so staff will write down any comments and add them to future trails wishes.
No Public Speaking is planned, so all you shy folks don't have to fret, just show up+write down your ideas+hand e'm over to NPS staff.
Whether you walk your Dog,Hike, ride Bicycles or Horses, this is a fantastic opportunity to have a say in what constitutes a pleasant outdoor trails experience.
Some of the ideas I've heard lately are:
Trails loop options(starting and finishing at the same location w/o backtracking), dog friendly features(off leash exercise opportunities?),inter connected trails between different lands governing agencies(NPS-County Parks-SFPUC-State Parks connections).
Can the NPS assist in opening connecting trails through the westward sloping SFPUC watershed lands that border every one of our publicly owned open spaces above Pacifica?
