Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County provides free, quality
civil legal services to San Mateo County’s low-income residents. Their advocacy
has evolved with the times; they fought for civil rights in the 1960s and fair
wages for farmworkers in the 1980s. Today, Legal Aid’s work encompasses nine
broad areas, which include legal services for low-income seniors, children and
a variety of civil legal issues.
