Pacifica To Offer Cool(er) Relief As Rest Of Bay Area Enters Heat Wave

National Weather Service officials say temperatures at some locations across the Bay Area will be up to 20 degrees above average.

If you're planning your weekend around the Peninsula, get ready for a hot one. National Weather Service officials predict that many locations will see triple-digit temperatures and have issued a heat advisory from Saturday through Monday. However, if you head on over to the coast-- you'll be able to escape that heat advisory.

"A heat advisory is in effect for most inland locations for this weekend into early next week as temperatures warm to as much as 20 degrees above seasonal averages and begin to pose potential heat related illnesses," the NWS said. "Dry weather conditions and mostly clear skies will also prevail through the forecast period."

Forecasters suggest to try to limit your outdoor activity during this time, and make sure to drink plenty of water.
