Pacifica Police Department Launches Special Needs Registry

Parents and care providers are being encouraged to enroll Pacifica residents of any age suffering from a disability.

PACIFICA, CA -- The Pacifica Police Department is asking for residents to help them with their Special Needs Registry, designed to help officers better serve people with special needs. Parents and care providers are being encouraged to enroll Pacifica residents of any age suffering from a disability or a mental health condition, including Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome or Epilepsy, according to police.

The registry would help in the event that the person becomes lost, found or needs assistance.

The registry will contain a photograph of the person, a physical description and emergency contact information in addition to information about their condition, police said.
