Pregnant Peninsula Woman Shot in Head, 'Armed and Dangerous' Suspect Outstanding: Police
Pacifica police are asking for the public's help in locating Ricardo Colindre.

UPDATE: 12:45 P.M.:
PACIFICA, CA- Pacifica police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who is suspected of shooting a local woman in the head at an apartment complex.
According to police, the shooting happened just after 8 a.m. at the Casa Pacifica Apartments in the 1000 block of Terra Nova Boulevard.
"Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 25-year-old Pacifica resident, with a gunshot wound to the head," police said in a news release. "She was transported to a local hospital for treatment."
Police told Patch the woman is pregnant, and is in stable condition at the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Ricardo Colindre, 25, has been identified as the suspect in the case, police said. They are hoping the public can help them track the man down.
He's described as a Hispanic man with brown hair and eyes. He is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and is a transient, police said. He was last seen in a 2003 Silver Toyota Camry with the California license plate 6CGN644.
"Community members are cautioned not to approach Colindres if seen as he is considered armed and dangerous," police said, urging anyone who spots the man to call 911.

PACIFICA, CA- Pacifica police and local school officials temporarily locked down three area schools after a "criminal incident" of some sort, police report.
On Twitter at 10:30 a.m., Pacifica police indicated Terra Nova High School, Ortega School, and Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School had been placed in "secure campus" mode. At 11:30 a.m., they said the status was lifted.
Police say no crime has occurred on any of the campuses. KRON4 reports that the lockdowns were issued due to a nearby shooting at the Casa Pacifica Apartments.
