Pacifica Shooting Victim ID'd: Incident Believed Accidental, Police Say
Police believe the man died from an "accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head."

PACIFICA, CA – A man killed in what appears to be an accidental shooting in Pacifica over the weekend has been identified by the San Mateo County coroner's office and police as 23-year-old Alex Taysom.
The shooting was reported at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 700 block of Big Bend Drive and officers arrived to find Taysom, a Pacifica resident, dead inside the home. Police tell Patch that they believe the man accidentally shot himself.
"Based on our preliminary investigation, this appears to be a case in which the victim, 23 year-old Pacifica resident Alex Taysom suffered an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head," Capt. Joe Spanheimer said.

So far, investigators have not found any signs of foul play, police said.
