Pacifica Woman Arrested On Suspicion of DUI: Police

The 24-year-old crashed into "several parked cars" according to police.

PACIFICA, CA — A Pacifica woman was arrested late Saturday night in her hometown on suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her car into several other parked cars, police said. Officers responded at 11:21 p.m. to the crash in the 600 block of Linda Mar Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle blocking both lanes of eastbound Linda Mar Boulevard. The driver, identified at 24-year-old Jocelyn McMahon-Babalis, was cooperative as she was arrested and taken to a "First Chance" sobering center, according to police. A "First Chance" sobering center is an alternative to jail for people arrested for DUI, according to San Mateo County officials. The car McMahon-Babalis was driving sustained major damage, as did two parked cars. McMahon-Babalis was not injured and was the only person in her car.
