Peninsula Woman Sexually Battered While Running With Baby: Police
Sheriff's officials say that the woman was out jogging near the boat launch when a man approached her.

HALF MOON BAY, CA- San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who sexually battered a woman in Half Moon Bay Wednesday night while she was out jogging with her baby.
Sheriff’s Det. Salvador Zuno says authorities received a report at 6:54 p.m. of battery on Pillar Point Harbor Boulevard, at Johnson Pier, near the boat launch.
“She was pushing a stroller with her baby in it,” Zuno told Patch. “And that’s when an unknown male ran up to her and grabbed her buttocks area.”

“Obviously she was very startled and upset about this,” the detective said, who added that deputies responded right away and searched the area. However, they were not able to locate the suspect.
Sheriff’s officials said the victim, a woman in her 30s, was not injured in the incident. The suspect is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium build and last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt or jacket.

“Because it was dark, [the victim] was not able to get a good look at him,” Zuno said.
The detective tells Patch that this is the only recent attack of this nature in the area, and that deputies are increasing patrol checks nearby.
