Two Gun Scares at Pacifica Schools in One Day
Fortunately, neither incident turned out to be a credible threat to student safety, according to police.

PACIFICA, CA- Pacifica police received two reports of someone with a gun at different schools Thursday but neither report had any merit, police said.
Late Thursday morning officers were notified that a student at Terra Nova High School had commented about doing something with a gun, but it was determined that it was just a comment and there was no merit to the threat, according to Capt. Joe Spanheimer. That incident was primarily handled by school staff, Spanheimer said.
Then in the afternoon someone reportedly saw a gun in a vehicle in the parking lot at Ocean Shore Elementary School. Spanheimer said that an officer was in the area and responded immediately, but the object in the vehicle was determined to be something other than a gun.
