UPDATE: Missing Elderly Peninsula Woman Found Safe, Hospitalized
Sheriff's officials say the woman suffered a medical emergency and was found in the hospital.

An 83-year-old woman reported missing after she was last seen exiting a bus Sunday evening in San Mateo has been found safe, though hospitalized, San Mateo County sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.
Katsuko Frank was reported missing around 10:45 a.m. Monday by a family member, according to the sheriff’s office.
The woman, who lives in unincorporated San Mateo County, had last been seen at 7 p.m. Sunday getting off a bus at the Hayward Park Caltrain station in San Mateo. Sheriff’s officials said shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday that Frank was found safe.

“She actually had a medical issue and was located at a hospital... there’s nothing suspicious,” Det. Salvador Zuno told Patch. ”So for now we’re treating this as a missing person who suffered a medical episode and was found safe.”
Zuno said the hospital contacted family members late Monday night, and the sheriff’s office learned the woman was safe on Tuesday.

Frank had been considered at-risk because she has a medical condition that requires medication.
