Volunteers Needed for Measure Y Parcel Tax Committee

The Jefferson Union High School District is seeking volunteers from the community to serve on the Citizens' Parcel Tax Oversight Committee.

 

With the recent passage of the Jefferson Union High School District’s Measure Y Parcel Tax, the District is soliciting for volunteers from the community to serve on the Citizens’ Parcel Tax Oversight Committee.

To qualify for membership, a person must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the geographic boundary of the Jefferson Union High School District.  Any district employee, official of the District or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the District may not be considered for membership.

Duties include reviewing expenditures of parcel tax monies for compliance with the guidelines as noted in the ballot measure and issuing an annual report and informing the community of the progress and appropriateness of parcel tax expenditures. The Committee must convene annually.

If you have a desire to serve and are available to participate on the Citizens’ Parcel Tax Oversight Committee for the Jefferson Union High School District, please notify the school district in writing by May 17, 2013.
