Woman Dies After Crashing Into Bus In Pacifica: Police

A 75-year-old woman died after rear ending a bus in her SUV, police said.

PACIFICA, CA β€” A 75-year-old woman died in the hospital Tuesday after rear ending a bus earlier this month in Pacifica, police said.

At around 4 p.m. on Jan. 8, San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies said they responded to the intersection of Fassler Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway after receiving a report of a crash.

Police said a 75-year-old woman driving an SUV rear-ended a SamTrans bus. Police said the woman was alert was transported to the hospital to treat what was thought at the time to be minor injuries.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's office said they learned that the woman had died at the hospital on Tuesday. Police said it is unknown if the death was directly connected to any injuries sustained from the crash.

The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
