Woman Sought for Alleged Pet Store Robbery, Hitting Store Owner with Backpack

Daly City police said the owner was attempting to retrieve the stolen merchandise from the suspect's backpack when struck twice. [Breaking]

DALY CITY, CA – Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a woman that allegedly robbed a pet supply store in Daly City Saturday.

Daly City police allege the woman entered the store on Geneva Avenue around 4 p.m., concealed merchandise in her backpack and left without paying for it.

According to police, the store's owners confronted the woman and attempted to retrieve the stolen items before the suspect swung her backpack at them.

Police said the suspect hit one of the owners twice before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a black woman in her late 30s, around five feet six inches tall with a slender build, short black hair, brown eyes, and missing her two front teeth.

She was last seen wearing a lime green jacket, black pants and gray shoes with pink trim.
