The Olive Sisters, written by Amanda Hampson, is one of Village Books' best sellers and a top seller in Australia. Amanda,an acclaimed author, is visiting from Down Under and will be on hand at village books for a book signing on Friday March 4th from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Amanda has subsequently written the screenplay, The Olive Sisters, an adaptation of her book. Local producer Bonnie Burgess who has lived in the palisades for 50 years discovered the book while on location in Austrailia. Her husband a born and raised Palisadian, Don Burgess, ASC a critically aclaimed Director of Photography has signed on to direct the film. Bonnie has teamed up with another Palisadian her Executive Producer on the project Barry Josephson along with executive producer Donald De Line, to bring this beautiful book to life on the big sceen.
