Hiker Airlifted From Pacific Palisades Trail
The LAFD needed to use a helicopter to reach a man who was injured on a remote Santa Monica Mountains trail.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A 64-year-old man was airlifted by helicopter off of a remote portion of the Josepho Spur Trail Saturday after suffering an ankle injury, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
After a 911 call, an LAFD helicopter was able to locate the man on the trail, west of the Murphy Ranch Stables, Saturday morning. The helicopter lowered a paramedic to the man and provided first aid before he was transported to a local hospital.
