Injured Hiker Hoisted from Topanga State Park Canyon

A 55-year-old man was injured while hiking in a canyon at Topanga State Park.

A 55-year-old man was injured today while hiking in Topanga State Park. Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 8:22 a.m. to the 4000 block of Temescal Canyon Fire Road, said Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The extent of the hiker’s injuries was not immediately known.

The hiker was hoisted out of a canyon and transported to an area hospital for evaluation, Lenske said.
