Pali High Gears Up For 2012-13 Year
Sophomores, juniors and seniors have been at school for registration all week. Freshmen orientation is Thursday.

The campus of received a flurry of activity this week as the school gears up for the 2012-13 school year, which begins next Tuesday, Aug. 14 - three weeks earlier than previous school years. Construction crews have been on site making various repairs to small exterior infrastructure needs.
Dr. Pamela Magee, principal, said the week's been going smoothly, with parents and students registering for classes and receiving their textbooks. The incoming sophomore class held registration activites on Wednesday, and freshmen orientation is Thursday.
Magee noted that even though school starts earlier for the Los Angeles Unified School District, June will be a great month since students will be let out earlier.

Senior Helia Bidad, treasurer of the Associate Student Body, sat under a tent Tuesday with other volunteers getting textbooks assigned to juniors.
"It's been pretty good," she said of the registration turnout. "The school's been very accomodating for the changes. It's like college registration, so the kids can hit the ground running."
