PLATO Society of Los Angeles Free Speaker Series presents "Privacy and Civil Liberties in the Post-Snowden Era"

Chairman of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board in Washington D.C. David Medine will address how to strike the right balance between national security and privacy and civil liberties in the US counter-terrorism programs. He will also discuss the NSA telephone metadata program, reform of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, and the collection of email/phone content on non-US persons outside the US.
