Restaurant Closures In Your Neighborhood!

Did your favorite eatery make the Los Angeles County Health Department's naughty list?

LOS ANGELES, CA - Once again, vermin infestation is the primary culprit behind restaurant closures in the area. If you see your favorite eatery on the list, it means the county health department closed the restaurant until it cleaned up its act. In most cases, it doesn't take more than a few days to get into compliance.

Patch has your roundup of the restaurant closures dating back to June 1. The list of reasons why restaurants are closed by the Los Angeles County Health Department can be stomach churning.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: TELL US WHAT YOU THINK IN THE COMMENTS. If your favorite restaurant landed on the health department's naughty list, would you give them another chance once they've reopened? Do you wait a month, before going back to your old favorite?

Most restaurants that are closed for critical violations reopen within a few days after correcting the problem that forced the closure. But beyond major violations that force immediate closure are minor infractions that produce unsanitary conditions which could lead to outbreaks of foodborne or viral illnesses.
