• El Niño's effects on aging California schools may be severe, experts warn (laist.com) — Pajaro residents are being warned that this winter’s strong El Niño could again test the levee that failed in 2023 and flooded Pajaro Middle School and surrounding neighborhoods. Flood officials say the breach has been permanently repaired and about $1 million in additional levee work is underway, while Pajaro Valley Unified is urging families to sign up for emergency alerts.
