10 Trash Trucks Burn At Burrtec Waste & Recycling In Coachella

No injuries were reported in Sunday night's fire, officials said.

COACHELLA, CA — About 10 trash trucks burned at a Coachella waste and recycling plant, authorities said Monday.

The fire was reported at 9:54 p.m. Sunday in the 53000 block of Polk Street, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

A photo posted by the fire department on Twitter showed firefighters spraying water on Burrtec trash trucks. Burrtec Waste & Recycling is listed at 53600 Polk St.

No injuries were reported, fire officials said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
