UPDATE: Second 3.5 Earthquake Rattles Coachella Valley
Two minor earthquakes shake the desert just 10 hours apart on Tuesday.

A second magnitude 3.5 earthquake has shaken the desert this evening, and has been felt from Coachella to Palm Springs.
The latest shake rolled across the desert at 6:15 p.m. and was centered 17 miles north-by-northeast of Indio, according to the USGS. The epicenter is north of where the San Andreas fault passes through the Coachella Valley.
The first earthquake, at 8:15 a.m., was centered 11 miles NNE of Indio and was felt strongest in Indio and the northern parts of Palm Desert.

No damage from either tremor has been reported.
