Recipients are selected by the CBS Local 2 Community Advisory Board, which includes representatives from the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation and members of the community. Throughout 2019, each recipient is recognized in stories and interviews on CBS Local 2’s Eye on the Desert, as well as in public service announcements, social media and on the station’s website, www.cbslocal2.com.
“I still get excited to review all the applications and learn about the many great programs serving the needs of the Coachella Valley,” said Catharine Reed, Program Director for the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation. “Selecting only twelve recipients is tough, but it is also rewarding when we visit the organizations and see how they are putting the funds to use.”
