30th Annual Hoedown At Sundown To Honor City Of Palm Desert

Saddle up for the 30th annual Hoedown at Sundown honoring the City of Palm Desert, presented by Family YMCA of the Desert.

PALM DESERT, CA - From YMCA of the Desert: The 30th Annual Family YMCA Hoedown at Sundown takes place at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. The event will feature entertainment, a hearty Western dinner, an extensive variety of extraordinary silent and live auction items, and raffle prizes. The event raises money to support Family YMCA of the Desert’s programming in 41 locations in our desert cities, serving over 3,800 youth daily. Not only is Family YMCA of the Desert celebrating the 30th year of this fun-filled event, but they are also celebrating their 35th year as Family YMCA of the Desert. With 41 locations across the Valley, this event will also recognize the contributions of the Valley’s nine cities and their partnership with Family YMCA of the Desert. Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, and Palm Springs will all be recognized at this event.

Guests encouraged to dress in their favorite western attire; jeans, cowboy hats, and of course, boots! Grab a date, or round-up your whole posse, and prepare to two-step until the cows come home! Throughout the evening, A Cowboy and a Dancer (Big John Miller) will provide lively entertainment, with line dancing and instruction, as well as interactive games such as calf roping, horse racing, a boot toss and more.

The evening concludes with a final live auction emceed by the ever-popular Patrick Evans, show host of Eye on the Desert on CBS2. He will pave the way for bidders to raise their paddles while raising money for the YMCA. Auction items will be added to the line-up over the coming weeks, but expect to see exciting destination getaways, pamper yourself spa packages, and more.

Tickets are now available (for those 21 years and older) for $145 per person on early bird special through September 30, prices will increase to $150/person on October 1. Roundup tables of 10 are $1,250 and VIP tables of 10 are $2,000. The tax deductible portion of tickets is any amount over $72 per person.
