1 Hospitalized After 3-Vehicle Crash In Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, CA — One person was rushed to a hospital after suffering moderate injuries in a three-vehicle crash in Palm Desert Saturday.

The crash was reported around 4:10 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Highway 111 and Monterey Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

One vehicle ended up on its side, leaving a person trapped and requiring extrication. The patient was rushed to a hospital with moderate injuries. A description of the person was not provided.

Another person was assessed on scene, but declined further treatment or transport to the hospital, according to the fire department.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known, and it was unclear how many other people were involved in the crash.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department assumed the investigation.
