Players say the special volleyball match is about community, compassion, and reminding those battling the disease that they're seen, supported, and not alone.

• GCU Men's Basketball Shatters Program Record with 20 National TV Broadcasts (burncitysports.com) — Palm Desert will be in the national basketball spotlight when GCU plays in the Acrisure Series here, debuting on CBS Sports Network against Saint Louis on November 24 and then Stanford or Colorado on November 25. The nationally televised matchups are part of a record 20-game TV slate that boosts the city's visibility with college hoops fans.
