COACHELLA, CA — Three suspects, including a 15-year-old, were taken into custody Monday in Coachella in connection with a local robbery, officials said.

Deputies were called at about 4:40 p.m. to a company on the 49000 block of Cesar Chavez Street after a trio allegedly stole items from the store and fled in a vehicle, said the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, which did not identify the victimized business.

The suspects were spotted in a vehicle near Avenida De Platina and Avenue 50 in Coachella, and, when contacted by a deputy, a 15-year-old male ran from the car, dropping a gun in the process, the agency said.
