Beyoncé Cancels Coachella 2017 Performance, Will Headline 2018 Festival

Goldenvoice says the superstar is "following the advice of her doctors."

INDIO, CA – Beyoncé will no longer be appearing at this year's Coachella, festival organizers announced Thursday. The megastar, pregnant with twins, was supposed to headline the Saturday lineups both April 15 and 22.

The festival's producer, Goldenvoice, announced the decision on Facebook:

"Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival," the organization said. "However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding. Stay tuned for more information."

A possible replacement for Queen Bey has not been announced.

Beyoncé was named a headliner for the event in January, and doubts regarding her availability cropped up when she announced earlier this month that she was pregnant with twins.
